Visual identity for the Global Digital Collaboration Conference 2026 in Geneva. GDC brings together governments, international organisations, technology companies and other stakeholders to collaborate on the digital infrastructure and standards that increasingly connect our world. At the heart of the identity is the Global Barcode, an idea conceived by GDC founder Daniel Goldscheider. It translates the flags of all UN member states into simple vertical colour codes, based on the colours and their proportions within each national flag. Put together, they form one global code. And one very, very long flag. This became the starting point for the visual identity: an endless flag that folds, bends and winds its way through posters, spaces, shirts, lanyards and the conference itself. For the participant badges, the principle became personal: each name generates its own individual colour code.
